OMG! I did it ya'll, I did it! I finally launched my new website and now...I can breathe. This has truly been a long time coming and I'm so glad that I can finally relish in this moment. Creating my website was a labor of love. I'm proud of this body of work and at the end of the day, that's really what it's all about. #SincerelyTeia

Welcome to my new blog! It's funny because when I first started Sincerely Teia™, I began with a blog. I have truly come full circle and I look forward to sharing my thoughts, ideas and experiences straight from the heART with features from the infamous FAB LAB, behind the scenes looks, inspirations, tutorials, trends, fashion, all the feels, and much more!
Inhale Confidence: During the Fall of 2019, I made the decision to stop taking orders to solely focus on rebranding and recreating my website. I so desperately wanted to hire a web developer to take this task on, but considering what I had in mind, I knew this task was mine. I had zero experience in web design, but I had all the confidence in the world that I could make it happen. (...tappin' into self-confidence) #inhaleconfidence
Exhale Doubt: In December 2019, news of a global pandemic was underway. I was watching the news closely, but like many others, I had no idea of the impact that Covid-19 would have on my business and much less my life. In the Spring of 2020, my suppliers were shutting down, schools were closing resulting in homeschooling / virtual learning, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd were murdered setting #BlackLivesMatter on full notice globally, and Covid-19 personally hit my family resulting in 2 deaths. Then comes December 2020, when I lost my aunt to Covid-19 who was like a second mother to me. The outlook of making this website a reality and a comeback was looking real bleak. I had to remind myself that doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will, so I knew I had to "keep going, keep growing". I had to pick myself up and "be-leaf in myself" (small plug for my sticker sheets...LOL) #exhaledoubt
Hustle Hard: Let me tell you something, "Failure is not an option." I didn't know how I was going to make it to the finish line, but I knew how to hustle hard and put in the work. I managed to not only learn a little somethin'-somethin' about web-design, but I also taught myself how to use Adobe Photoshop in Summer 2020 in the height of the pandemic. Whoot-Whoot! I am a natural planner, so I put on my project manager hat and created a roadmap to what would yield me the results I desired. I created annual, monthly, and weekly goals and tracked my progress along the way because what's a goal without a plan?! A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan supported by actions helps you realize your goals. You just have to be consistent and put in the work. #hustlehard
“'Failure is not an option.' I didn't know how I was going to make it to the finish line, but I knew how to hustle hard and put in the work."
...and Breathe: I'm sure you've noticed, but I never said this journey was quick or easy. I had more challenges and technical difficulties than a lil' bit. Though I had several challenges along the way, I persevered. Fast forward to Summer 2021 (almost 2 years later since I stopped taking orders) I thank GOD that my physical and mental health has been solid to enable me to finally realized my goal. However the journey isn't over yet, it's just getting started...but for now, I can finally breathe. (deep exhale) #breathe
Note to Self...
I would be lying if I said I'm not nervous about the impact of rebranding my business and trying something new while we are still very much in a global pandemic (part II...Covid-19, delta variant), but I figured, "what better time than now?" I'm more excited about the possibilities and opportunities that lie ahead of me. I am reminding myself not to panic, to allow myself room to grow, and be gentle with myself along the way. I know that I will make some mistakes, it's only natural, but it's the lessons learned and the bounce-back that is the most impactful. #dontpanic

Again, I would like to thank you for your support. To my dedicated #happyheARTs, thank you for sticking with me and encouraging me along the way. To my newcomers, I hope you become a part of the #happyheARTs tribe. I have so much in store and I want you to be a part of it all, but for now I kindly ask you to visit my Shop and my RBEx Shop if you haven't done so already. Hopefully, you'll find something to your liking and know that it was made straight from the heART. Feel free to drop a line in the comments to let me know what you think about the new website and products. I would love to hear from you!
Sincerely,
Teia
